Low-Priced Hosting Services for Your TLDs

There are 2 things you demand in order to set up a site. The first one is a domain name that will open your web site when you type it in a browser, and the second one is a web hosting package, which is basically the hard disk storage space on a hosting server where the web page files will be placed, plus several more features that come with it. The domain name and the web hosting account are 2 associated, yet separate solutions, and you demand both of them so as to have a functioning online portal.

What is a Domain?

A domain name is the alpha-numeric name that you will pick to be the address for the website: my-best-domain.com, for example. A domain name can be up to sixty four symbols long and it includes two parts – a top-level domain name (TLD) and a second-level domain name (SLD). In the aforementioned illustration, my-best-domain is the second-level domain name, and .com is the Top-Level Domain. While you can pick the SLD of the domain name to be anything that is open for registration, there is a set number of TLDs to pick from. The top-level domain names can be generic (gTLDs) or country-code (ccTLDs), and can be registered for a certain stretch of time between 1 and ten yrs. They may have other requirements concerning the registrant.

Domain Name Web Hosting Services

As the domain is just a hostname and nothing more than that, you need a web hosting account where you have to accommodate it. In such a way, when you type it in a web browser, it will exhibit the website files that you have in the account, i.e. it will show your site. You can have a domain name registered with a certain provider and get the hosting service from another, although many hosting corporations provide both solutions and it is more convenient to handle everything from one web hosting Control Panel GUI. Either way, since the domain name registration and the web hosting plan are different services, you have to point the domain to the web hosting server where it will be added as hosted. To do that, you need to change a given setting, or record, of the domain name - the commonly named NS records. Each web hosting corporation has at least 2 name servers - ns1.wizardwordsgo.com and ns2.wizardwordsgo.com, for example. The website hosting Control Panel that you utilize for your domain name gives you the possibility to modify the name servers and point the domain name to one hosting provider or another.

The Demand for Reliable Web Hosting Solutions

Once the domain is pointed to a certain domain hosting distributor and is added to their servers, you will obtain different web services. The most crucial one is that the website files that you keep on the web server will now be exhibited when you write your domain name in a web browser. You will also be able to establish e-mail box accounts like name@my-best-domain.com and make use of webmail or an e-mail client to handle them. Whether you own a personal or a corporate web site, being available online and being permitted to use email addresses with your domain are the two most fundamental options that you obtain with a website hosting plan. In case you manage a corporate web page – it will represent your business before your web site visitors or customers. This is the reason why you require a stable web hosting provider that will offer a reliable and stable web hosting service.
